Bright and Cheery Kids Bathroom, with links to free printable

I couldn’t wait to have a happy and bright bathroom for our kids! I wanted to design a place that made me smile when I peered in, but also one that wouldn’t break the bank. IMG_5079

shower curtain was purchased at Target:

sadly, I’m not sure if they still carry it in the color I got (green and aqua)

These stools are so special to our boys! We gave them to them for Christmas when they were each 1. On the bottom their full name, birth date and stats are engraved. We hope they will be gifts they treasure for years to come. Not only are they practical, they are cute and built to last! We ordered them from Damhorst Toys

I love how the color we chose came out! You never know how it will look (I feel like the paint swatches always look different than the walls! But thankfully, it goes well with our shower curtain) The color is Bathe Blue (Sherwin Williams #6771)

I used white spray paint to paint a silver frame I had on hand

I have always envisioned a place where each kid’s towel could hang with their initial hanging above. We don’t have that much wall space in our bathroom so the small space under the window is serving that purpose for now. Thankfully, the boys can reach it to hang up their own towels. And we need to get an E for our 3rd mister!

These would be super easy to design yourself, or you can grab your free printable here: (I just printed these on cardstock) I got these frames from my favorite place, Hobby Lobby.

If you like these puzzle name stools, you may also like these wooden Name puzzles! My Mom got each of the grandkids one this Christmas.

Having a name puzzle is also a great way to practice name recognition from a young age. Another great tool my Mom (an amazing educator) shared with me: put their names to a song. For our boys who all have 5 letter names, it’s extremely easy to use the song BINGO. “There was a boy whose name is Caleb, and Caleb is his name-o! C-A-L-E-B, C-A-L-E-B”

and here they are at 1 and 3 in our new house, just before we welcomed baby E (I was so thankful that their bathroom has two sinks). The greenery is from IKEA (can’t beat 5 bucks!)
