E’s Navy Blue and Gray Rustic Nursery

Ethan is 3 months old, and he finally has a crib! Hooray! Again, things are so different when you are on your third kid.

With the addition of his crib, his nursery is finally complete and I’m excited to share it here. If you are anything like me, when you are in need of some inspiration for decoration, you go to my good friend, google, or my other good friend, Pinterest.

So if you are in need of some baby boy budget friendly nursery ideas, I hope I can be of some help.

My go to stores for his room ended up being Target, Hobby Lobby and Marshall’s Home Goods.

This dresser was a steal of a deal at Home Goods ($225) but it’s not real wood, so I don’t know how long it will last. It sure looks pretty though and functions well for now. Everything used to make his collage wall was purchased at Hobby Lobby (wait until the wooden decor is half off, or make use of their handy online 40% coupon; each item was between 5 and 15 dollars if I remember correctly), changing pad was purchased Here, get the wipeable changing pad cover (one of the BEST inventions ever!) here,  and get the wipe warmer (not a necessity buy Mimi bought it for our first and it helped him not pee on us every single diaper change and makes those poo diapers a little easier to clean IMO) here

This super comfortable glider was a purchase for Caleb’s nursery, and it has been going strong for 3.5 years. We bought a different recliner  for Ethan’s room (which was also comfortable and is great in David’s room right now for reading bed time stories), but we decided it wasn’t quite as accommodating as this one for nursing so we switched them. Plus, I kind of love that I have spent hours nursing, praying over and rocking all 3 of our sons in this chair. We got it from Buy Buy Baby (it was our one big splurge for Caleb and thankfully we used our 20% coupon).

The ottoman is from Target as well as the black out curtains

We have 3 cribs in our house. Y’all, seriously I know that is ridiculous but our first crib was not super expensive, our second one was purchased from a friend for $40 and our big boys are still happily sleeping in them at 2 and 3. I know we need to transition Caleb soon, as he is a huge 3.5 year old, but for now he’s happily napping in his room still (or playing quietly in his crib) and for this Mama, having that time is more than worth it! We found this beautiful crib at Target and we were able to use our 15% off registry completion coupon. It also converts to a double so hopefully we can use it for a while and it goes so well with our rustic theme!

Find it at Target, or one similar on Amazon, we got the same mattress our other boys have, Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams White Crib Mattress

Used another 40% off coupon to get this Rustic Wood Pallet from Hobby Lobby and used some small nails to hang the large metal E (also purchased from Hobby Lobby, 1/2 off). Can you tell I love that store?

My super creative Mama thought of taking this shelf (Hobby Lobby purchase) and adding the letters for Ethan’s name! Thankful for 5 letter names.  The frames were purchased at Home Goods and the beautiful newborn pictures were taken by Kate Miller

The lamp another Target purchase, the tree was a Christmas craft item I snagged at Hobby Lobby, the window pane frame was a purchase from Home Goods 5 years ago, the bookshelf was from Target and the Dohm Sound Machine is a new love (it uses an actual fan as opposed to a speaker and is very soothing. I still like our other Homedics Sound Machineas well and it is great for traveling

I think E loves his new room! One more tip…at first I had hung the frames above the changing table with nails. Big mistake! What was this 3rd time Mama thinking? As soon as E started kicking his little legs, one picture fell down and almost hit him on the head- enter in Command Picture Hanging Strips. Problem solved! Just use some to secure the frames at both the top and the bottom and they are not budging! On a side note, if you are looking for a great gift to bring to a baby shower, get these Trumpette Johnny Socks
! They look like shoes so they are seriously the cutest plus they are the only socks that actually have a chance of staying on their feet at first.

Why didn’t I think of this before? Because safety is so important. Next up on the list: anchor the chest to the wall! I already bought these we just need to make it a priority to do it because I’ve heard way too many scary stories of furniture falling on kiddos when they try to climb

I love these little cubbies and have a few in our playroom as well. They make toy storage super easy. As much time as I knew I would spend time nursing little man in the beginning, I wanted to have some toys for his big brothers to play with close by. You can find one similar here

And that’s it! Thanks for taking a tour of our sweet Ethan’s room. I hope it’s full of a lot of joy and many sleep-full nights.
